UNAidUN to give $290 million on a welter of programs to one of the world’s most tyrannical regimes, North Korea.  Nothing like propping up a government so they can continue to oppress their own people and threaten the world.  Read More Here.

A NJ judge refused to issue the permanent restraining order because under Sharia law, this Muslim husband had a “right” to rape his wife.  The trial court allowed the testimony of an Imam to be entered so that his account of Sharia’s standards could supercede the standards set by the New Jersey legislature. The truth is that imposition of Sharia law in the United States, especially when mixed with a perverted sense of political correctness, poses a danger to civil society.  Read More Here.

UnionPuppetDiana Furchtgott-Roth, a former chief economist at the U.S. Department of Labor, told CNSNews.com on Tuesday that implementing card check would allow unions to swell their ranks with new members who would have to be signed up and pay money into failing union pension plans.  “It shouldn’t be allowed,” she said. “It’s a ponzi scheme as bad as Bernie Madoff.”  Read More Here.

DeficitsThe president's panacea turned out to be an $862 billion bottle of snake oil -- and it cost $100 billion more than the entire Iraq campaign to date. The war made up just 3.2 percent of federal spending while the fight raged. And it accounts for less than 15 percent of the overall deficit since it began in 2003.  In fact, the war is to blame for a majority of the deficit only in 2007, when the US launched its surge.   Read More Here.

Democrats are trying to keep control of Congress by scaring the wig off grandma with a phantom GOP plot against Social Security. That is not news. Social Security scare tactics have been regular campaign themes since FDR.  Earlier this summer the Strengthen Social Security Coalition magically emerged, its backers a roll-call of the progressive left: the AFL-CIO, SEIU, American Federation of Teachers, MoveOn.org, Campaign for America's Future, the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees.  Read More Here.

“According to current estimates, the number of functionally illiterate adults is increasing by approximately two and one quarter million persons each year. This number includes nearly 1 million young people who drop out of school before graduation... Eighty-four percent of the 23,000 people who took an exam for entry-level jobs at New York Telephone in 1988, failed.”  Lyndon B. Johnson’s “Great Society”  allowed anyone that could muster little to no effort—could enjoy maximum financial reward—as long as someone else covered by working twice as much.  At what point does the fabric of America shred into the hopelessness of the third world.  With a new permanent, illiterate sub-class in America that grows too fast to solve, at some point, we will not be able to save ourselves from unraveling as a civilization.  Read More Here…then get your children out of the public education system!!!

On Aug. 20, its man at ICE, John Morton, wrote a memo stating that being in the U.S. illegally is no longer sufficient reason to send someone home. An illegal immigrant now has to be a security threat or else commit a crime — and a violent one at that. To everyone else, ICE turns the blind eye.  Adding insult to injury, ICE will empty its costly, just-built detention centers of 17,000 existing deportation cases as long as an illegal can show that he or she has applied to become legal.  Read More Here.

Last week brought good news for those of us who believe that illegal aliens and non-citizens shouldn’t be violating federal and state laws that prohibit them from registering and voting with impunity. The Justice Department agreed to settle a federal lawsuit filed by the State of Georgia (Georgia v. Holder) that will allow Georgia to verify the citizenship status of newly registered voters.  But the second round is coming soon.  Read More Here.
